Maximiliano Rubén 'Maxi' Rodríguez, better known by the name Maxi Rodriguez is an Argentine footballer who was born in Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina on January 2, 1981 and in football he played as a midfielder for Liverpool club and national team of Argentina.
Rodriguez started the football with a move to Spain, he arrived there at the age of 20 years and played with RCD Espanyol and Atletico Madrid. During his career in Spain he was playing in La Liga and collected a total of 232 games and scored 58 goals in eight seasons.
The club has ever defended during his career in football include Newell's Old Boys in the year 1999-2002, Rodriguez played as many as 57 appearances and scored 20 goals. Later in the year 2002-2005, he played for Espanyol and scored 26 goals in 111 appearances. Then continues to Atletico Madrid in the 2005-2010 season and managed to appear in 121 games and scored 32 goals. After a long career and spent time in Spain with Atletico Madrid contract expires, Rodriguez joined one English club Liverpool with the status of free transfer and he has scored 11 goals in 46 appearances. He can still perform and score goals for Liverpool club until it's time to join the club ended.
Rodriguez career with the Argentine national team began in 2001 when she joined won the 2001 FIFA World Youth Championship with Argentina national team U-20 and scored four goals in those games. He also called Argentina squad for the FIFA World Cup in 2006 after being part of the squad for the Confederations Cup in 2005. Rodriguez also became part of the Argentina squad for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa and previously he scored against Canada on May 19, 2010 when the last match before the World Cup tournament began.
