Daniel Alves da Silva, known by the name Dani Alves is a Brazilian footballer who was born in Juazeiro, Brazil on May 6, 1983 and he played for Brazil national team as well as FC Barcelona right back.
Prior to joining Barcelona, Alves spent the time to Sevilla FC for six years and participated won two UEFA Cups and the Copa del Rey.
Furthermore, Alves joined Barcelona for a fee of € 32.5m and he became the most expensive defender at the time. When the initial joining Barca, he took to win the treble and the Spanish Super Cup, European Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup. Alves also helped Barca won another Spanish super cup, two league titles and the UEFA Champions League in subsequent years.
During play in Spain, Alves has held a passport since 2005, and later in the day Thursday, September 29, 2011, he was appointed as a Special Olympics Global Ambassador for its football program that introduces soccer to intellectually disabled people and he runs up to the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Alves made his debut with the Brazilian national team as a substitute in a friendly match against Kuwait club Al-Kuwait Selection on 7 October 2006. Three days later he got his first international opportunity in a friendly against Ecuador and Alves are also included in the Brazilian national team for the 2007 Copa América. He appeared in four games, including during the final against Argentina where he helped mancetak goals.
Alves is also a substitute in the semi final of the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup against South Africa and managed to score a goal and bring the Brazilian to win the match. Alves also scored from long-range shot against Iran on October 7, 2010.
