Daniel Alves da Silva or he is better known as Dani Alves is a Brazilian footballer who was born in Juazeiro, Brazil on May 6, 1983 and he played at right back position with the Brazilian national team and club Barcelona.
Alves began his career with the football club Bahia in 2001 and the first time he made his debut against Parana Clube for the 2001 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A. Because of its impressive appearance along Bahia, Alves began to be transferred to another club.
At first only on loan to Spanish club Sevilla in mid-2002. In the 2002-2003 season, Alves played for the club and Sevilla started in the 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship. He was named the third best player in the tournament and in the end he became a permanent player for the club Sevilla. In June 2006, Alves agreed to be sold to the English club Liverpool with a value of £ 8,000,000 but the agreement failed because Liverpool did not agree with the transfer and make Alves signed a new contract with Sevilla in December of 2006 through 2012. During the 2006-2007 season, Alves became a successful player, including when he played in the UEFA Cup.
Alves also obtained Spanish citizenship and allowing him to play in every EU country. In 2007, Alves wanted out of Sevilla, and join with other big clubs, it was Chelsea interested in signing Alves. However, on August 16, 2007, Sevilla reject Chelsea bid for low value transfers.
On July 2, 2008, finally leaving Alves joined Sevilla and Barcelona with a transfer value of £ 23 million transactions in the future and further £ 7 million depending on appearances Alves with Barca for four years. That amount makes Alves became the most expensive defender and became the third most expensive player bought Barca. Initially debuted with Barca in the league in the season opener against Numancia on 31 August 2008, Alves missed appearance when Barca beat Manchester unitary in the 2009 UEFA Champions League final because of yellow card suspension. On April 27, 2011, Alves became a substitute in the second half for the UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg against Real Madrid.
Alves made his debut with the Brazilian national team as a substitute in a friendly match against Kuwait club Al-Kuwait Selection on 7 October 2006. Three days later he got his first international opportunity in a friendly against Ecuador and Alves are also included in the Brazilian national team for the 2007 Copa América. He appeared in four games, including during the final against Argentina where he helped mancetak goals.
Alves is also a substitute in the semi final of the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup against South Africa and managed to score a goal and bring the Brazilian to win the match. Alves also scored from long-range shot against Iran on October 7, 2010.
