Domenico Criscito
Domenico Criscito is an Italian footballer who was born in Cercola, Italy on December 30, 1986 and played with Genoa club originally played as a defender but is now in the position of left back.
Criscito came from southern Italy and moved to the north because of pursuing a career at the age of 13 years. He began his career with the club Genoa in Serie B when he was still 16 years old in June 2003. In the summer of 2004, Genoa sold 50% of the contract to Juventus for € 950K. He played for the team 'Primavera Juventus' with the Italian Under-21 and won the Campionato Primavera in 2006.
In season 2006-2007, Criscito back to Genoa and prove himself as one of the best young defender in Serie B. In January, the club bought 50% of the remainder of his contract with the combined price of € 7.5 million and repaid by the ownership of 2 players to Genoa and the value of € 5,250,000. Criscito signed a new contract with Juventus until June 30, 2011.
Criscito make his debut in Serie A with Juventus on August 25, 2007 when the win against Livorno. Criscito back to Genoa for not satisfied always was on the bench. In 2008, he was sent to Genoa as a loan player and bought half of his contract amounting to € 5.5million.
In February 2009, Criscito scored his first goal against Palermo while since he played in Genoa as a backup player who later permanently ownership in the season 2009-2010. In September when against Napoli, Criscito got a red card for allegedly swore at the referee after he was found guilty of a violation to the Napoli player.
Juventus announced the registration of the sale of fixed 50% of Criscito of 6M € on June 25, 2010.
Criscito made his debut with the Italian Under-21 squad against the Czech Republic on 14 November 2006. He was also present in two EURO U-21 Championship in 2007 and 2009. Criscito also represented Italy at the Summer Olympics in 2008. Later he played with the Italian senior national team in a friendly match against Switzerland in Basel on 12 August 2009. Criscito 23 selected in the squad by coach Marcello Lippi for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa where he played at left back position.
