Domenico Criscito is an Italian footballer who played with clubs Genoa and was born on December 30, 1986 in Cercola, Italy who played at left back position.
Criscito started his career with junior club in Genoa in 2002-2004 and then he also played for Juventus Primavera on the year 2004-2006 and won the Campionato Primavera in 2006. He returned to Genoa at that time was in Serie B and become the best young defender.
He started his professional career in 2003 with senior Genoa club and only made one appearance.
Subsequently in January, the club purchased a 50% residual Criscito contracts with combined value of € 7.5 million. He signed a new contract with Juventus until June 30, 2011.
Criscito makes early debut in Serie A with Juventus in August 2007 and he returned to play when it won a victory against Livorno. With Juventus, Criscito more often as a reserve player. But because it is not satisfied being on the bench, he decided to return to as a loan player when the winter transfer window opened. He made his debut in 36 appearances and scored four goals.
In the 2008-2009 season, Criscito sent again as a loan player to the Genoa club and scored his first goal against Palermo in February 2009. Because for a few seasons on loan to Genoa and became a co-ownership with Juventus, then the 2009-2010 season, the agreement was made permanent.
On June 25, 2010, Juventus announced that the registration rights remain 50% of Criscito sold for 6M €.
Criscito first played for the Italian national team in 2003 and 2004 for U-17 and made five appearances. Later he scored a goal in six appearances with the Italian national team for U-19 in 2004-2005. In 2005-2006, Criscito play for the U-20 and scored one goal in 4 appearances. His last appearance before playing with the Italian national team in international tournaments, Criscito played for the Italian national team U-21 in 2006-2009 who made 26 appearances and scored one goal.
