Christian Maggio
Christian Maggio is an Italian footballer who played in the position of right winger. He was born on February 11, 1982 in Montecchio Maggiore, Italy.
Maggio began his career with Vicenza junior in 1997-2000 and made his debut in Serie A in season 2000-2001. He played with the club until the end of the season Vicenza 2003 and made 38 appearances, scoring one goal.
In 2003, Maggio joined Fiorentina until 2007 and made 56 appearances, scoring two goals such as loaned to Treviso in 2006, he played without scoring a goal in 11 appearances. In addition, Maggio also loaned out to Sampdoria in the seasons 2006-2007 and made 31 appearances, scoring two goals.
In 2007-2008, he joined Sampdoria and scored nine goals in 29 appearances. From his appearance during the joint Sampdoria, Maggio lot of attention from clubs in Italy and also Europe, but he decided to sign a contract with Napoli at a cost estimated at less than £ 10 million.
When playing with Napoli, Maggio scored with a volley against Livorno. He managed to score 12 goals in eighty-seven appearances so far with Napoli.
Maggio played with the Italian national team in 2000-2001 for the U-18, later in the season 2000-2002 Maggio strengthen the Italian national team for U-20 and scored three goals in 24 appearances. Maggio also strengthen Italy for U-21 on the 2002 season and only made two appearances. He was elected to the Italian national team squad for the senior level in 2008.
