Named Ron Vlaar is complete Peter Ron Vlaar Dutch footballer who was born on February 16, 1985 at Hensbroek, North Holland and he played at center back position.
Vlaar started his professional debut at the age of 20 years for the club AZ. After her success at the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship with the Netherlands Under-20 he received the first call to the national team by coach van Basten. Vlaar is a key player in 2 Dutch U21 team that won the UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship in 2006 and 2007. In her personal life, Vlaar was born of a mother and father handball athlete that an amateur footballer. He has 2 younger woman named Ellen who is a gymnast and an athlete Oral volleyball.
In Hensbroek, Vlaar Apollo'68 join local clubs when she was 6 years old. After high school, Vlaar decides to join the SVW '27 from Heerhugowaard during one season. Subsequently he was invited by the youth academy and played in AZ Eerste Divisie. Then in 2002, Vlaar signed the first contract with AZ Alkmaar juniors until the summer of 2007. In the 2004-2005 season, Vlaar Eredivisie debut at the age of 20 years and on April 28, 2005 he made a European debut. Vlaar is part of the starting line-ups in the UEFA Cup semi-final when play against Sporting Clube de Portugal. In this season, he played in 3 games and 2 Eredivisie UEFA Cup.
In the 2005-2006 season, Vlaar attract the attention of national team coach van Basten and the Netherlands are eventually invited to play in international matches. AZ Vlaar joined only at junior level and he's not interested in extending the contract with his father visited him even Spurs agent which is one English club, but on December 28, 2006, Vlaar just signed a three and a half year deal with Feyenoord.
Together with Feyenoord, Vlaar became the starter and make an official debut on January 15, 2006 when against Vitesse. He played in 16 Eredivisie matches and become a poor start due to injury against Reading in August. On December 16, 2006, Vlaar scored the first goal for Feyenoord against FC when Ultrecht. When the match against Roda JC on September 16, 2007, Vlaar suffered injuries and had surgery on his ligament. He's recovering from an injury early in the 2008-2009 season during pre-season but suffered another injury and require sidelined for a month.
On September 24, 2009, Vlaar play in the KNVB Cup against Harkemase Boys and then he always looks impressive.
Vlaar started playing with the Dutch national team and youth level he achieved success with the Dutch national team at the FIFA U-20 World Youth Championship and 2005 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship in 2006 and 2007. On June 10 and July 2, 2005, Vlaar a late substitute in the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship which took place in the Netherlands. Together with Dutch national team U-20, Vlaar has been through the group stage against Japan, Australia and Benin. In the next round he also played when the Dutch beat Chile and to the quarter-finals by beating Nigeria.
Vlaar was also part of the Dutch national team U-21 in 2006 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship. He played in every tournament including wins against Denmark and now in the final against Ukraine. After winning the UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship for the first time, Vlaar became captain of the team against Serbia in the final.
The first game played by the senior level against the Czech, Vlaar when on October 8, 2005. He actually has the potential to enter the Dutch national team squad at the 2010 FIFA World Cup, but because of an injury that never experienced coach van Marwijk consider the decision to call Vlaar.
Vlaar included in the initial squad for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, but on May 27, 2010 Dutch manager of van Marwijk announced that he was not included in the squad for the Dutch national final 23 teams in the competition.
