Álvaro Daniel Pereira Barragan or known by the name of Uruguay Álvaro Pereira is a footballer who plays at the wingback position. He was born on November 28, 1985 in Montevideo, Uruguay.
Pereira played for the club FC Porto, which is one club in Portugal. In addition to playing on the left side position, he can also play as a defender or midfielder.
Pereira's football career started with Miramar Misiones in 2003 and later moved to Argentina to join the Quilmes Atletico Club 2 years later. After the 2006-2007 season, the club was relegated from the first division, he signed a contract with Argentinos Juniors. Furthermore, for 2008, Pereira signed a contract with Romania CFR Cluj with a value of € 2,500,000 and he began his playing in the UEFA Champions League.
