Cristian Gabriel Rodríguez Barotti or better known by the name of Cristian Rodríguez is a footballer who was born in Juan Lacaze,Uruguay on September 30, 1985 and he played as a winger with the national team and in the club.
Rodríguez was a pretty smart in the study and he offered to study architecture at the University of the Republic but at the last minute chose to play football professionally.
Rodríguez began playing football professionally when he was young for local giants CA Panarol in Uruguay's first division in 2003. After experiencing an injury at the end of 2004 a couple of games later in the year 2005, Rodríguez was bought by one of the French League club in the Paris Saint-Germain and a player who always appear in every game. He also helped the club out of relegation zone while scoring against AS Monaco.
In the month of July 27, 2007, Rodríguez moved to one of the Portuguese club Benfica to the status of loan players in the long term. Rodríguez subsequently bought by FC Porto in June 2008 and scored a few goals through headers.
Rodríguez made his debut with the national team of Uruguay when he was 18 years in a friendly match against Mexico and represented Uruguay in the Copa America tournament in the second edition of 2007 and win over the hosts Venezuela. Rodríguez received within 4 match ban for assaulting one of Argentina's 2010 World Cup qualifying and finally Uruguay coach Oscar Tabarez did not choose him for the final stage in the 2010 World Cup tournament in South Africa.
