Sisenando Douglas Maicon is a Brazilian footballer who was born in Novo Hamburgo, Brazil on July 26, 1981 and he plays as a wingback with the club Internazionale and the Brazilian national team.
Maicon debuted with Cruzeiro in 2001 and helped the Brazilian national team's success over the past two seasons and won the championship in 2003 and then Maicon was recruited by one of the French club AS Monaco in June 2004.
After playing with the club next Monaco Maicon to join one of Italy Internazionale in July 2006 and signed a contract for 5 years. Inter club he became one of the reliable wingback. Maicon helped Inter win the domestic league for four consecutive years before he even got into a fight with Valencia defender in the Champions League on March 6, 2007.
In the 2009-2010 season, Maicon started the season as the derby against Milan and subsequently against Barcelona at the San Siro. Even when the match against Juventus, Maicon made the opening goal.
Maicon scored the opening goal in the Champions League against Barcelona and even he gets the credit.
On May 22, 2010 when Inter won the treble by beating Munich Winner in Santiago Barnabeu and against Roma in the Italian Cup, Maicon dubbed the 2009-2010 UEFA Club Defender of the Year and from the looks of it he gets the nomination as the Ballon d'Or trophy Europe's top player.
