Wilferd Bouma is a Dutch footballer who was born in Helmond, Netherlands on June 15, 1978, and he plays for PSV Eindhoven and the Dutch national team. Bouma played at left back or central defender.
He married a woman named Anja in June 2007 and had two children named Thomas and Lola.
Bouma senior professional career began in 1994-2005 with the club PSV Eindhoven and scored 19 goals in 168 appearances. A period of nine years he was not playing for PSV Eindhoven full because he became the club on loan for MVV in the year 1996-1998 and appeared in 51 games with 13 goals scored. Bouma subsequently loaned to the club Fortuna Sittard and scored three goals in 33 appearances in 1998-1999. After the season ended loan him back to PSV Eindhoven.
But in the years 2005-2010, one of the Bouma joined the English club Aston Villa and that is capable of playing in 83 appearances and scored the only goal for the club. After five years of playing in the Premier League, he returned to his old club Eredevisie with PSV Eindhoven in 2010.
Bouma played for the Dutch national team U-20 in 1995 and scored one goal in three appearances, then he is the senior national team in 2000 and scored two goals in 37 appearances.
