Kepler Laveran Lima Ferreira or known by the name Pepe is a Portuguese footballer who was born in MaceiĆ³, Brazil on February 26, 1983 and played as a central defender.
Pepe started playing football with local club Sport Club Corinthians Alagoano and at the age of 18 she moved to Portugal. Pepe went into CS Maritimo in Madeira Island and spent some time with the team B. He helped the club qualify for the UEFA Cup after contributing one goal in 30 games.
In the summer of 2004, Pepe became part of the FC Porto who became one division Portuguese giants. During play in Porto, Pepe has scored six goals in 64 appearances with the club for three years.
On July 10, 2007, Real Madrid signed a contract to Pepe's for five years. New Pepe can score goals for club Real Madrid on 15 March 2008 as against Deportivo La Coruna.
During the summer of 2009-2010, when Pepe scored against Sevilla on October 4, 2009. In the 2010-2011 season Pepe played in the first leg UEFA Champions League semi-final on April 27, 2011. Pepe debut with the national team of Portugal on August 30, 2007 in UEFA EURO 2008 qualifying matches after he received Portuguese citizenship. In fact he plays at all when the loss is among the game against Turkey on June 7, 2008 and Portugal finally made it to the quarter-finals. Pepe also played in the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa and made his debut against Brazil in the group stage and in the last 16 defeat by Spain.
