Eduardo Alves da Silva is the full name of Eduardo da Silva was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on February 25, 1983 playing as a striker and forward. He was a footballer but Brazilian-born Croatia and Ukraine playing for Premier League and the Croatian national team.
He was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro and began his career with the football CBF Nova Kennedy and Bangu Atletico Clube. Eduardo was loaned to the inker Zaprešić (now Inter Zaprešić) in 2002-2003 and scored 10 goals in 15 appearances after a long season to play for Dinamo.
Eduardo received the title as the best player in the Croatian League in 2004 as well in 2006 and 2007 after a long season to Inter Zaprešić and won two consecutive titles in Croatia and the Croatian League Cup. Eduardo became the first player Dinamo who scored a hat-trick in the derby against Hajduk Split on May 19, 2007.
Eduardo moved to Arsenal on July 3, 2007 with estimated value of £ 7.5 million after Arsenal confirmed the deal with Dinamo Zagreb. Eduardo debut when joining together the first time was when Arsenal against Blackburn Rovers on August 19, 2007. On February 16, 2009 scored a goal in the second half when against Cardiff City in the FA Cup.
Because his appearance is quite convincing with Arsenal, then Eduardo signed a contract extension in November 2009. After a period of a contract extension with Arsenal ended Eduardo subsequently signed a contract with Shakhtar Donestsk on July 21, 2010 for four years. Initially debut with Ukraine is one of the club when the fight PFC Sevastopol on August 7, 2010.
Eduardo took Croatian nationality in 2002 and was first called the Croatian national team U-21 tournament final at the 2004 European Under-21 Championship in Germany. He also called for the qualifications of the 2006 European Under-21 Championship where he scored goals in nine appearances tuuh. Eduardo won a total of twelve appearances and scored eight goals. Eduardo made his international debut with the national team of Croatia in a friendly against the Republic of Ireland on 16 November 2004 when he was 21 years. He became one of the designated player to join the Croatian national team for the FIFA World Cup 2006 in Germany.
On August 16, 2006, Eduardo to play in a friendly against Italy. He made his competitive international debut with the Croatian national team as against Russia on October 11, 2006 and subsequently against Israel on the 15th of November 2006 even managed to make a hat-trick in the match. He also stipulated that he could be a core player in the campaign UEFA EURO 2008.
Eduardo became the world's second best scorer after scoring ten goals in twelve appearances, even when the opening match at UEFA EURO 2008 against Austria he gets respect from supporters and the national team coach.
