Vincenzo Iaquinta is an Italian footballer who was born in Cutro provinsi Crotone, Italy on 21 November 1979 he plays as a striker or a winger playing.
In the 1980's, his parents emigrated to Emilia-Romagna in Northern Italy
Iaquinta football career started at the bottom division with the club Reggiolo the 1996-1997 season before moving to Serie B Calcio Padova in January 1988 after playing in 33 appearances and scored 6 goals.
Together Padova him only 6 months and made 13 appearances with 3 goals. Next Iaquinta sold to Castel in Sangro Calcio in Serie C. Iaquinta played very well and proved himself to be the starting line-ups that make 52 appearances and eventually play in Serie A with Udinese.
When playing with Udinese, on the third season he helped the club qualify for European competitions, scoring 11 goals in 32 appearances, but in the next season Iaquinta scored 15 goals in 39 appearances. In six seasons with Udinese, he made 34 appearances and scored 17 goals including a hat-trick in his first game UEFA Champions League group in the 2005-2006 season. On September 30, Iaquinta signed a contract extension for the next three years. During the season 2006-2007, Iaquinta scored 14 goals in 30 appearances which subsequently signed a contract with the club giants Juventus.
Iaquinta signed a contract with Juventus on 19 June 2007 with a transfer value of € 11,300,000 for 5 years. During joining Juventus, he was more on the bench. But he also determines when Juventus against Napoli in April 2008. Iaquinta a fourth striker at Juventus, but when the second leg against Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League, Iaquinta scored. In season 2009-2010, Iaquinta became the starter before an injury during the 6 months between October 2009 and March 2010.
In April 2011, there were rumors Iaquinta associated with Rangers FC at a cost of € 4,000,000. But the bid was rejected because he wanted to move to Glasgow.
Iaquinta is a member of the Italian national team squad who took part won the 2006 FIFA World Cup. He scored his second goal in the opening match in the tournament when Italy against Ghana. He played in five of seven matches including the semi-finals and finals.
Iaquinta did not come into play in the UEFA EURO 2008 because of an injury.
He was elected to the Italian national team squad at the 2010 FIFA World Cup where he scored one goal in the group stage.
