Luis Alberto Suárez Díaz is the full name of Luis Suarez who was born in Salto Uruguay on January 24, 1987 and he is known to play as a striker.
Suarez began his career in Uruguay with football and he joined Nacional won the national championship in 2006 by scoring 12 goals in 29 appearances. Then he bought the club Groningen with a value of approximately € 800,000. During the first season with Groningen, Suarez scored 10 goals in 29 appearances and attracted other European clubs. On August 9, 2007, Suarez moved to the Ajax club with a transfer value of € 7,500,000. In season 2007-2008, Suarez won the Johan Cruijff Shield and make an official debut in the Champions League qualifier against Slavia Prague. He also scored a hat-trick in a league match against Willem II and when taking a goal for Ajax to 14 goals in 27 appearances. Suarez ended his first season with Ajax with 20 goals in 40 appearances. In the 2008-2009 season, Suarez lot of negative attention because of the many yellow cards he received and in that season he scored 22 goals in 31 league matches. He scored a hat-trick on August 8, 2009 as against RKC Waalwijk. On the first leg play-off round of the UEFA Europa League, Suarez netted four goals and win against Slovan Bratislava on August 20, 2009. Suarez scored four goals in the victory against VVV month later on 20 September 2009. Then on December 23, 2009, he scored 6 goals in one game against an amateur team and scored 3 goals WHC when meeting again with VVV on April 11, 2010. Suarez end the 2009-2010 season as top scorer with 35 league goals and a total of 40 goals in all competitions that make him a Dutch footballer of the Year. Next there is the beginning of 2010-2011, Suarez scored his 100th for Ajax against PAOK in the Champions League third qualifying round and then scored a hat-trick against De Graafschap again when on 29 August 2010. Suarez football career with Uruguayan national team when on February 8, 2007 when the win against Colombia. He became a starter in 4 the first match of 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and scored 2 goals in 4 games each against Bolivia and Chile.
Uruguay coach namely Óscar Tabarez on June 1, 2010 announced that Suarez will be the squad for the final 23 who participated in the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. He became a starter and scored the first goal against Mexico on June 22, 2010, hereinafter Suarez scored 2 goals against South Korea in the round of 16 on June 26, 2010 and assist Uruguay to reach the World Cup quarterfinals since 1970. Suarez scored 3 goals in 6 appearances during the 2010 FIFA World Cup. He became famous worldwide when he handled the ball on the line in the final minutes and prevent the victory when the match against Ghana in the quarterfinals. Suarez scored 3 goals in the semi-final 2010 FIFA World Cup against the Netherlands despite eventually losing to Uruguay, the Netherlands.
