Eljero George Rinaldo Elia or better known as Eljero Elia is a footballer of Surinamese descent who plays for the Dutch national team. Elia was born in Voorburg, Netherlands on February 13, 1987.
Elia playing football when his young joined AFC Ajax academy. Later he joined ADO Den Haag and FC Twente before finally joining Hamburg in 2009.
Elia made his debut for the Dutch national team in September 2009 and scored a goal. Over joins with the Dutch national team, he scored 2 goals in 15 appearances.
In 2009, Elia blessed Johan Cruijff Award for 'Young Player of the Year' in the Netherlands.
Elia was also elected to participate to defend the Dutch national team for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa even though it was the Dutch finally defeated the Spanish national team.
