Diego Forlan Corazo is the full name of Uruguay's Diego Forlan is a footballer who plays as a striker and was born on May 19, 1979 in Montevideo, Uruguay.
Forlan is the winner of the Pichichi Trophy and the European Golden Shoe also the recipient of the Golden Ball as the best footballer in the FIFA 2010 World Cup held in South Africa.
Forlan footballer born of the family, his father name's Pablo played for Uruguay in 1966 and his grandfather named Juan Carlos Corazo play for the 1974 FIFA World Cup was also the club Independiente in Argentina.
Forlan also played for Independiente in Argentina for 4 years, then signed a contract with one of the great English club is Manchester United. Forlan played for 2 years with Manchester United but he failed to play well, when one can join with Independiente. Therefore, he finally played with one of the Spanish club is Villarreal.
In his first season with Villarreal, Forlan has scored 25 goals and won the Pichichi Trophy. After 2 years later Forlan joined Villarreal moved to Atletico Madrid and became the top scorer and the first player to win the Pichichi Trophy 2 times since Ronaldo in 2003-2004. Forlan made a successful international career and has scored 29 goals for Uruguay. He has played against Japan and South Korea at the 2010 FIFA World Cup held in South Africa. Forlan scored 5 goals including 2 goals as against the host South Africa, one goal in the quarter-final against Ghana, once against the Dutch in the semi-finals and in the play-off against Germany.
Although he scored 5 goals in the 2010 FIFA World Cup, but Forlan not received the Golden Boot and the trophy was given to Muller who both scored 5 goals but it has to provide 3 assists. However, Forlan received the Golden Ball.
