Jeremain Lens is a Dutch-Suriname footballer who was born on November 24, 1987 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and he used to play as a striker known.
Lens is the nephew of former football player who has retired and is now a named agent Sigi Lens.
Lens debuting professionally in the 2005-2006 season and played in 2 games for the AZ. Previously, he played for the youth team AZ, FC Omniworld, Ajax Amsterdam and regional teams Spartaan.
Lens contract with Alkmaar run until 2013. In June 2007, AZ agreed to Lens with NEC club who play in the season 2007-2008. Lens approve the contract as a player loan agreement with NEC in the summer of 2007. Lens started the difficult period together with NEC, but he finally scored eight goals in 16 matches and go for the UEFA Cup. From his career it seems Lens will move permanently with NEC, but he decided to come back again with AZ.
In the 2008-2009 season at the moment back with AZ, he does not give much contribution. However, when van Gaal to leave AZ, Lens got lots of new coach a chance to play and score goals to AZ.
On 21 May 2010, signed by PSV Lens for 4 years in exchange for Marcellis who plays for the AZ.
Lens Career in national team when he played for the Dutch national team U21 but eventually he chose to play with the national team Suriname. In 2009, Lens had summoned the national team squad Suriname to PARBO Bier Cup when trained by Wensley Bundle. But since the tournament PARBO does not make FIFA Lens, finally played for the Dutch national team.
On May 3, 2010, Lens was called to the Dutch national team at the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa. However, on May 27, 2010, coach van Marwijk announced that the Lens does not become part of the Dutch national squad for 23 teams.
