Raúl Albiol Tortajada is a Spanish footballer who was born on September 4, 1985 in Vilamarxant, Spain, and he played at center back position. Albiol is flexible because the players can play as a center back or defensive midfielder.
Raul Albiol makes debut on September 24, 2003 when he was 18 years 4 days in the first round of the UEFA Cup against AIK Fotboll but spent his first season in the side B. In August 2004, signed a contract as a player Albiol loan with Getafe CF. On January 15, 2005, Albiol made his debut and scored a goal against Athletico Madrid.
In the following season, he returned to Valencia and Real Betis to play when fighting in the 2006-2007 season. Albiol also scored against Olympiacos distance when FC on September 12, 2006 in UEFA Campions League. Albiol played in Valencia during the four seasons and helped El Che at the domestic level in the 2007-2008 season. On June 25, 2009, Albiol joined Real Madrid for a transfer value of € 15 million and the first player to sign a contract after Florentino Perez was re-elected as president. Albiol scored the first goal for Madrid on December 8, 2009 in the Champions League game against Olympique de Marseille.
Albiol began his career with the Spanish national team U-21 on October 13, 2007 and when the win against the Danes in Uefa Euro 2008 qualifiers. Visente Albiol del Bosque selected who is the coach to reinforce the Spanish national team at the FIFA Confederations Cup 2009 in South Africa and made his debut as against Sweden and Greece. In 2010 FIFA World Cup, Albiol not playing because of injury while exercising.
