José Manuel 'Pepe' Reina Paez or known by the name of Pepe Reina is a Spanish footballer who was born in Madrid, Spain on August 31, 1982, and he plays in the goalkeeper position.
Reina was the daughter of former FC Barcelona goalkeeper who began his career in football at the Barcelona youth academy in La Masia. From the year 1997, Reina was elected as Barcelona's reserve goalkeeper.
In 2000, when he was 18 years old Barcelona after the club was called by the main goalie injured. In 2002, Reina loaned to Villarreal and he became the main goalkeeper at the club until finally attracted the attention of Liverpool.
In 2005, Reina signed from Villarreal to Liverpool which was then coached by Rafael Benitez. Reina become 'the best goalkeeper Spain' and made his debut for Liverpool against Total Network Solutions is now known as The New Saints, in the first qualifying round Champions League 2005-2006. In the years 2005-2006, Reina took over as the first Liverpool goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek shifts. On August 17, 2005, Reina made his first debut with Spain in a friendly against Uruguay.
On December 3, 2005, Reina Athetic play against Wigan in the Premier League and become a record-breaking goalie in the league and passed the cleanest record of David James in the year 1996-1997. Reina also broke the record for being the cleanest goalkeeper with Liverpool between October-December 2005 during the FIFA Club World Cup Final in 2005. On April 16, 2006, Reina celebrates with Liverpool when 50 appearances against Blackburn. He beat Ray Clemence's record in the year 1970-1971 which conceded 32 goals while Reina 29 goals until May 2006. Reina Golden Glove award as the cleanest in the year goalkeeper from 2005 to 2006. But in the FA Cup Final, Reina made a mistake when against West Ham.
Although making mistakes early in the year 2005-2006, but Reina remains a major Liverpool goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek replace including when against Arsenal.
In 2007, Reina was awarded by the supporters of Liverpool in the Champions League when the semi-final against Chelsea at the ball by blocking a kick into the goal by Chelsea players including drive-kick when Lampard.

Reina has become a permanent choice goalkeeper even though he was the Spanish national team as the second keeper after Iker Casillas. Reina became part of the Spanish national team in the UEFA Euro 2008 although he only played once in the final. Reina and Casillas solve together the longest time during the 710 minutes unbeaten.
Reina also the Spanish national team squad at the 2010 FIFA World Cup although he did not appear at all in the competition.
