Álvaro Arbeloa Coca is a Spanish footballer who played in the position of central defender but can also play as right back, beginning to play he plays at left back. He was born in Salamanca, Spain on January 17, 1983 and he played in the position of defender.
After playing in Real Madrid's junior, he later graduated to the reserve team and play as much as two times with the team.
On July 24, 2006, Arbeloa signed a contract with La Coruna. Arbeloa actually want to play with Real Madrid, but he always played as a reserve player for five seasons.
On January 31, 2007, Arbeloa signed for Liverpool at a cost of € 4 million with a record of Madrid receiving 50% of those costs. Arbeloa made his debut with Liverpool in the Premier League on February 10 as a substitute when against Newcastle.
Arbeloa makes a full debut in the Champions League while at the Nou Camp against Barcelona where he played as left back. Arbeloa scored the first goal for Liverpool against Reading on April 7, 2007, he helped Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League Final in 2007 against Milan.
In the 2007-2008 season, Arbeloa helped Liverpool win the game, including against Manchester United and Chelsea.
On July 29, 2009, Real Madrid and Liverpool have reached an agreement at a cost of £ 3,500,000. Arbeloa scored the first goal for Madrid on February 13, 2010 when it won Xerez.
On February 1, 2008, Arbeloa was called the Spanish national team squad and he played the first time in Malaga against France in a friendly match on February 6. Then on March 26 to make an international appearance against Italy.
Arbeloa elected to the Spanish squad in the UEFA Euro 2008 and start the game as against the Greeks. He also helped Spain in the semi-finals of the FIFA Confederations Cup in 2009. Arbeloa also won the 2010 FIFA World Cup despite only appearing once in the tournament.
