Jérôme Boateng Agyenim or known by the name of Jerome Boateng is a German footballer who was born on September 3, 1988 in Berlin, Germany and played at full-back positions and center back.
Boateng began his career with the youth team of Tennis Borussia Berlin and continued into the first team. Later in the year 2007, Boateng joined SV Hamburg and now he plays for Manchester Citu after signing the contract in July 2010. Boateng joined Herta BSC from the date of July 1, 2002 and expire on August 22, 2007, when he joined he was only 13 years old.
His debut with the club when playing against Hannover 96 in the AWD-Arena Bundesliga in 2006-2007 season. Boateng then for two years to join Hamburg SV in the summer on August 22, 2007 with the transfer value of around € 1,100,000. During the joint Hamburg, Boateng joined the club delivers achieving European League semi-final.

Boateng made his debut with the German national team in international tournaments on October 10, 2009. On June 23, 2010, Boateng played for the German national team against his half-brother named Kevin-Prince Boateng to represent Ghana. Boateng help Germany in round 16 while playing against England and later in the quarter-finals when playing against Argentina. Boateng also help Germany in the semi-final against Spain and Germany defeat such as the UEFA Euro 2008 finals. But Boateng still playing in the play-off against Uruguay and won the match ranked third in 2010 FIFA World Cup
