Andrea Pirlo is an Italian footballer who plays for Serie A club of the Italian League with Milan since 2001 and became one of Italy's senior national team players who debuted in 2002.
He was born in Flero, Lombardy, Italy on 19 May 1979 and is known to play in the position of deep-playmaker who moves to outwit the opponent and he is one of the best players in this position. Pirlo is also known as set-piece specialist players.
Pirlo made his debut with Brescia initially against Perugia. Once inside the squad Brescia, Pirlo was signed by Inter coach in 1998-2001. But he could only bring Inter finished up ranked 8th in the Serie A campaign of 1998-1999. Next Pirlo loaned to the club Regina in 1999. After he played pretty good and then he came back to Inter, but once again he can not enter the core squad and eventually loaned to his former club Brescia and spent the second half of the season with the club.
After three seasons with Inter, Pirlo was sold to Milan with a value of 35 billion Italian lire (about € 18 million) but most of the transfer value is exchanged with Drazen Brnčić.
In Milan he became a world-class player and has won one Champions League scedetto and two in 2003 and 2007. He also helped Milan won the Italian Cup and two UEFA Super Cup in 2003 and 2007. But he failed when his kick driven by Dudek in the UEFA Champions League Final in 2005. Pirlo started his career as an offensive midfielder until coach Ancelotti develop its position as a playmaking in Milan. He helped Milan lead the Serie A in season 2002-2003 and he played an average of nearly 90 minutes. After Kaka and Ancelotti to leave Milan and join the club Chelsea in the summer of 2009, Pirlo reportedly accepted an offer of $ 12m to move from Milan. At the tournament, he scored the opening goal against Ghana and Italy while in the second match against the United States. In the final group match, Pirlo won a header from a corner kick against the Czech Republic. In the semi-final round, Pirlo's assist on the opening goal against Germany. He also helped score a goal in the finals against France in a penalty shoot. Pirlo was elected as the third best player in the tournament.
In 2010 FIFA World Cup, Pirlo can not play in the first two games because of injury. He was a late substitute against Slovakia on June 24, 2010 and eventually Italy was eliminated in the first round group.
