Marcin Wasilewski (the pronunciation of Poland Matcin Vaciefski) is a Polish footballer who was born on June 9, 1980 in Kraków, Poland known as a Polish defender who plays for RSC Anderlecht and the Polish national team.
At the beginning of his career in football, Wasilewski played for a local club called Hutlik Poland Krakow, Slask Wroclaw and Wisla Plock. He moved to the club Amica Wronki in 2005 and later in 2006 joined with Lech Poznan. In January Wasilewski acquired by the Belgian club Anderlecht.
He played at right-back position and a defensive player but often scored. During the 2008-2009 season, Wasilewski became the most prolific goal scorer for the club Anderlecht third.
On August 30, 2009, Wasilewski suffered a broken bone in his foot and had to undergo surgery as Anderlecht match against Standard Liege Liege. He returned again to strengthen Anderlecht on May 8, 2010, and scored the winning goal against SV Zulte Waregem. Wasilewski Anderlecht contract with the club until summer 2013 before deciding to be extended or not.
