Miguel Luís Pinto Veloso, or known by the name of Miguel Veloso is a Portuguese footballer who was born on May 11, 1986 in Coimbra, Portugal, and he plays as a midfielder with the Portugal national team and clubs which join.
Veloso football career started at the junior level with SL Benfca but was rejected because of a little excess weight. At age 14 he joined the junior system with Sporting Clube Lisboa, where he was promoted to first team for pre-season 2004-2005. He was loaned out to Desportivo Olivais e Moscavide and help him in his career by contributing seven goals. Then he called again to enter Sporting CP even with stiff competition and ended the season in 23 league games and helped Sporting is ranked second. Veloso also made an impressive debut in the UEFA Champions League win against Inter Milan.
In 2009-2010, Veloso helped Sporting reach the round of 16 and scored when playing against Everton and helped the club is ranked fourth domestic league.
Furthermore, on July 30, 2010, he sold to one of the clubs in the Lega Calcio Italy with Genoa.
Veloso plays for the Portugal national team first when he played for the U-21 and looked impressive in the 2007 UEFA European Championship in June 2007 for scoring two goals in those games. On August 14, 2007, he entered the national team's full squad for the UEFA EURO 2008 qualifier against Armenia. On October 13 he made his international debut against Azerbaijan and in the final round of the tournament group stage defeat by Switzerland on June 16, 2008. Veloso called again by the Portugal national team coach for the game 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Denmark in September 2009. He scored his first international goal in the same competition and Portugal defeated by Malta in Guimaraes, on 14 October.
