Bruno Alves
Eduardo Bruno Alves Regufe or known by the name of Bruno Alves is a Portuguese footballer who was born on November 27, 1981 in Póvoa de Varzim, Portugal, he was known to play in the position of center back for national team Portugal.
After playing for three clubs Portugal consecutive first division and one for Greece with AEK Athens, he returned to FC Porto in 2005-2006 and to extend the contract in 2010. He struggled for first team and played in seven league matches including against SL Benfica on 15 October 2005. Alves always play for Porto who also won the championship other than the league. He made a mistake early in the UEFA Champions League game against Manchester United on April 7, 2009 but on 10 May 2009 he became the player who took part won the match against the National CD.
On August 3, 2010, when 28-year-old Alves signed a contract with Russian Premier League with FC Zenit with a transfer value of € 22 million. On October 30, 2010 he scored the first goal for the club when the fight against AEK Athens in UEFA Europa League group stage.
Portugal national team coach to give Alves his debut full in June 2007 as against Kuwait. He then played for the UEFA Euro 2008 when they lost to Switzerland in the group stage. Alves became the starter during the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifier on June 6, 2009 when against Albania. He also played all the matches in the 2010 FIFA World Cup tournament in South Africa, but Portugal only until the round-eighth of the final.
