Riccardo Montolivo is an Italian footballer who was born on January 18, 1985 in Caravaggio, Italy and he is now strengthening the Serie A club Fiorentina and the Italian national team as a midfielder.
He was appointed club captain in the 2009-2010 season even though he still considered relatively young. Montolivo is the prototypical 'regista' (deep-lying playmaker), which is similar to Andrea Pirlo. Although he likes playing in the middle but he can play in any position including defensive midfielder but he is more comfortable in the position of the attacker.
Montolivo started his career with Atlanta, which at that time was in Serie B when I was eighteen years old and started his debut in the season 2003-2004. He played in 40 games and scored four goals in that season and helped the Atlanta promotion to Serie A.
Montolivo playing for Atlanta in the years 2003-2005 and made seventy-three appearances, scoring seven goals for the club.
Furthermore, after playing for two seasons, Montolivo move to Fiorentina in the summer of 2005 and he made his debut in 186 appearances and scored thirteen goals.
In the 2007-2008 season, started well as a midfielder with La Viola in one game against Empoli. In the following season but suffered tidal Montolivo become one of the best talent in Italian Football.
Professional career with the Italian national team for U-21 in the year 2004-2007. He made his debut in twenty appearances and scored three goals. Furthermore, she strengthens the senior Italian national team in 2007 and could make his debut as much as twenty-two times the performance.
