Gaël Givet-Viaros is a French footballer born on October 9, 1981 in Aries, France, and he played at center-back position or left-back. Givet started his professional career at AS Monaco and join the play at left-back before he moved to the center-back. Initially debut against Guingamp in December 2000. He joined with AS Monaco in the 2000-2007 season and made 178 appearances with eight times goals. After success with AS Monaco, Olympique Marseille Givet joining the 2007-2008 season. Givet appeared in 29 times with the French League and nine appearances in European competition. On January 10, 2009, L'Equipe reported that Givet going to England completed a contract with Blackburn Rovers as a loan player. Then on January 14, 2009, Sky reported that Givet signed a contract as a player during the six-month loan for the purpose as a player and equipment at the end of the season with Blackburn. In the year 2006, Givet French national team squad for the World Cup finals in Germany. Givet has 13 caps for France in 2009.
