Sebastian Boenisch (pronounced Polish Sebastian Benis and German Zebastian Bonis) is a Polish footballer who was born on February 1, 1987 in Gliwice, Poland who played for the Polish national team as a left back.
Boenisch made his professional debut with the club Schalke 04 on February 11, 2006 as a substitute in the win against Bayer Leverkusen, and other appearance against RCD Espanyol in the UEFA Cup.
On 1 September 2007, Boenisch moved to Werder Bremen.
In the 2011-2012 season, he was a free transfer and after a poor performance during the 2012 UEFA makes VfB Stuttgart attractive contract offer.
On August 6, 2012, Boenisch gets probation for playing in one of the English clubs with Stoke and he started the season against Torquay United and Yeovil Town. But the court did not succeed and Boenisch can not play in the club Stoke.
On 14 November 2006, Boenisch got a chance to play in the German national team at Under-20 win against Austria. He also made his debut for the Germany U-21 in 2007. Boenisch won the 2009 European Under 21 Championship with the German national team. Boenisch ended up playing for the national team of Poland on August 20, 2010 after a reduction in the future he entered the German squad. His first call during the match against Ukraine on September 4, 2010 and Australia. Boenisch called into the squad for the UEFA Euro 2010 Poland-Ukraine in May 2012 and did his first game at the opening of the tournament against Greece on June 8, 2012.
