Tomasz Wojciech Szczesny is a Polish footballer who was born in Warsaw, Poland on 18 April 1990 the club played as a goalkeeper for Arsenal and the Polish national team. He became first choice goalkeeper for Arsenal at the age of 20 years and declared himself to be the main goalkeeper for Arsenal career.
Szczesny first practice with the club's junior team Angrykola in Warsaw and at the age of 15 he entered the first team Legia.
Szczesny in 2006 joined the Arsenal youth team and a reserve player on the 2008-2009 season. He became first choice goalkeeper for Premier League match against Stroke City on May 24, 2009. At the beginning of the 2009-2010 season, Szczesny was promoted into the senior squad for Arsenal and was called as a backup goalie to play in the Champions League against Standard Liege on September 16, 2009. Debut in the League started on 22 September 2009 as against West Bromwich.
On 20 November 2009, decided to join Brentford Szczesny as a goalkeeper on loan for one month and had been a "Man of the match" during the match against Leeds.
Szczesny play again for Arsenal in the 2010-2011 season and the start when he appeared in the League Cup on October 27, 2010 against Newcastle at St. James Park. He signed a contract extension on November 11, 2010. Szczesny started the game after a contract extension against Leeds in the FA Cup on January 8, 2011. Arsenal coach decided that he became first choice goalkeeper for the club. Szczesny starring debut in the Champions League against Barcelona at the Emirates on February 16, 2011.
Entering the 2011-2012 season, Szczesny played a half in each pre-season with Arsenal in the tour to Malaysia and China. He performed the first game of the season against Newcastle and then save the shot on goal while playing in the Champions League qualifying round on August 24, 2011. Szczesny in his debut has blocked a lot of kicks at goal including the win in the match Arsenal big match against Liverpool at Anfield on March 3, 2012.
Szczesny career began with the Polish national team while playing for Poland in the U-21 European Championship qualifying match in 2011, including against Spain and Finland. He called for strengthening the senior national team in October for a friendly against Romania and Canada. Szczesny be a tough goalie against Germany on September 6, 2011. But he never sent off when the Poles against Greece in the UEFA Euro 2012 Poland-Ukraine and caused him to miss the next match against Russia and it became his last appearance in the tournament because of Polish marginalized in the group stage.
