Micah Lincoln Richards is an English footballer who was born in Birmingham, England on June 24, 1988 and played for Manchester City and England.
Richards grew up in the Chapeltown district of Leeds and the club's youth system to play for Leeds United as a striker. He later played for Oldham Athletic subsequently joined Manchester City at the age of 14 years.
Richards makes debut as a substitute on October 22, 2005 when a full debut against Arsenal and against Charlton Athletic on 12 February 2006.
In the 2005-2006 season, he became captain of the Manchester City youth team to reach the final of the FA Youth Cup against Liverpool. Richards signed a new contract with Manchester City for four years on July 25, 2006 after Manchester City refused an offer from Tottenham for Richards for £ 5m.
