Pedro Miguel da Silva Mendes, or known by the name of Pedro Mendes was a Portuguese footballer who was born on February 26, 1979 in Guimaraes, Portugal, and he plays as a midfielder for the national team of Portugal also shared the club which he joined.
He began his career as a footballer when he joined the junior club Sporting Clube de Portugal which is the Portuguese first division football. Pedro continued his career with the club Vitória de Guimarães city in 1998-2003, but he is lent to know Felgueiras during one season in 1998-1999 and successfully contributed two goals in thirty-one appearances.
His debut continues with one of the best clubs of Portugal and is realized by winning a medal at the UEFA EURO Champions League with FC Porto in 2004.
Once during the season defending club FC Porto, Pedro moved to the Premier League with Tottenham Hotspur in 2004 where he was known to score from a distance of 50-yards against Manchester United but disallowed. He played for Tottenham for two seasons between 2004-2006 and managed to do thirty appearances, scoring one goal.
His career continues to Portsmouth in the 2006-2008 after the contract ended two seasons with Tottenham.
Together Portsmouth he scored five goals in fifty-eight appearance.
Pedro then joined by Lia Scottish Premier club Rangers for two seasons in 2008-2010 and he made his debut as many as thirty-nine appearances, scoring three goals.
Done with the Rangers, Pedro returned to play for Sporting CP where he never played at junior level. He earned a surprise recall to the Portugal set-up on 27 August 2008 to play against Denmark on 9 September 2008 and on 2 October 2009 for the qualifying games against Hungary on 10 October 2009 and Malta on 14 October.
