Leonardo Bonucci is an Italian footballer who was born in Viterbo, Italy on May 1, 1987.
Bonucci began his career with the club Viterbesse in 2004-2005 and he was loaned to the club Inter Milan in the year 2005-2007. He played in several pre-season friendly match for the Inter first team. He later became a member of the Inter Primavera team U-20. Bonucci make Serie A debut in the final game of 2006-2007 season against Cagliari Calcio and at the end of the competition last season, Inter buy Bonucci. He played his first game in the Coppa Italia against Messina on November 9, 2006 as a replacement player. He played in the first round second-leg quarter-final match against Empoli and as a starter in the second semi-final against Sampdoria. Over the past with Inter's Under-20 Youth Team he won the Italian 'Primavera' U20 Youth League.
Bonucci on July 1, 2007, officially became a Treviso player and became one regular starter in 27 appearances Serie B. Before loaned to the club Pisa Calcio, Bonucci played in 13 appearances with the Series B Treviso.
On June 8, 2009, Bonucci checkup in Genoa, then on July 1, Bonucci officially transferred to Genoa, but he moved to Bari on July 2.
In Bari he became first choice at the position in central defense and club Bari has the second best defensive record of the Series A.
Bari bought the remaining half of Genoa registration of € 8M. After that, Bonucci signed a contract with Juventus for 5 years with a value of € 15.5M (but in a player plus cash deal.) Bonucci scored the first goal for Juventus in the play-off match European League against Sturm Graz.
