Ryan Babel
Ryan Babel is a Dutch footballer who was born on December 19, 1986 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. He grew up in Bijlmermeer, Amsterdam.
Babel interested in football from an early age was inspired by Ruud Gullit and Frank Rijkaard. He began playing with a young team SV-Diemen and Fortius. In 1997, Babylon passed through the first selection for the junior club AFC Ajax, but failed in the next selection. In the 1998-1999 season he had just come in and join the D1 team. Subsequently in 2004, Babel signed a professional contract after passing through a team of C1, B1 and A1. On February 1, 2004, one and a half months after his 17th birthday, coach Koeman entrust Babel made his debut when Ajax first win against ADO Den Hag in the Eredivisie. On January 6, 2010, reported that Liverpool reject £ 8,000,000 bid to Babel from Birmingham. In fact he scored the winner for Liverpool against Burnley at Turf Moor and the European League qualifiers when against Trabzonspor on August 19, 2010. Babel international career began when he took part in the World Cup 2005 FIFA U-20 and scored 2 goals in 4 games to reach the quarter-finals. In 2006, coach van Basten enter Babel in the Dutch squad for the 2006 FIFA World Cup but he only played once because of a knee injury.
In June 2007, Babel became the Dutch national team U-21 to compete in the UEFA Under-21 Championship. He scored a penalty against Portugal and helped the Dutch in the semi-finals to qualify for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. Furthermore Babel also elected to the Dutch squad for the UEFA Euro 2008, but on May 31, he was pulled from the squad because of an ankle ligament injury.
On May 27, 2010, coach van Marwijk enter Babel in 23 Dutch squad for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa but he did not play in the tournament.
