Ibrahim Afellay is a football player who defends the Dutch national team who has a Moroccan descent (Rif Region) and was born in Utrecht, Netherlands on April 2, 1986. Afellay played as an attacking midfielder and winger.
Afellay football career started when playing for Dutch junior national team and then he entered the senior Dutch national team. In 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, Afellay was elected to the Dutch squad.
Afellay in the club usually plays as a center attacking midfielder but he can also play at the right or left side.
In 2007, Afellay was awarded the Johan Cruijff for 'Young Player of the Year' in the Netherlands. During football career started, Afellay played with PSV Eindhoven.
