Diego Alfredo Lugano Moreno is the full name of Diego Lugano which is a Uruguayan football player and was born in Canelones, Uruguay on November 2, 1981.
Lugano started playing soccer at senior levels in the years 1999-2001 when joining the club he played for the next Nacional Plaza Colonia in 2001-2002. After one season playing at the Plaza Colonia club he moved to Sao Paulo in the year 2002-2006. During the 2002-2006 season with Sao Paulo he scored eight goals in 96 appearances overall. Lugano then join one of Turkey's Fenerbahce club from 2006 until now.
His career began with the Uruguay national team in 2003 and contributed four goals for Uruguay. Lugano also captained the national team of Uruguay was elected even the best captain in the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
