Per Mertesacker is a footballer who was born on September 29, 1984 in Hannover, Germany, and he is a German footballer who plays at center back position.
Mertesacker began his career at local club Hannover 96 where he played under his father's upbringing as a junior coach. Mertesacker made his debut in the league in November 2003 against Cologne. Mertesacker proved himself as one of the promising players in the Bundesliga and has a good record in 31 games.
On May 13, 2006, Mertesacker last played for Hannover 96 and scored the opening goal when against Leverkusen. During 1996 in Hannover, Mertesacker is one good player with the late Robert Enke and Ballack and he set aside part through his foundation to Enke's widow named Per Mertesacker Stiftung.
In August 2006, moved to Werder Bremen Mertesacker in the € 5,000,000 transfer deal after he played quite well in the FIFA World Cup Germany 2006 which was ranked third.
In November, he scored a goal for Bremen in the Champions League and win against Chelsea.
