Juan Manuel Mata Garcia is a Spanish footballer who was born in Burgos, Spain on April 28, 1988, and he plays in the position of winger or attacking midfielder. Manuel Mata is known as an intelligent player and has a speed in scoring.
Manuel Mata who was born in Burgos, Castile and Leon, but grew up in Oviedo, Asturias began his career at the football club Real Oviedo where his father spent most of his career. Manuel Mata joined for 3 years before finally joining Real Madrid at the age of 15 years. After performing for Cadete A, Manuel Mata developed through the junior teams Juvenil C and finally A. Together Juvenil the 2005-2006 season, Manuel Mata scored 18 goals in League and 3 goals in the Copa de Campiones including when the win against Valladolid and add 3 goals in the Spanish Cup Juvenile.
In season 2006-2007, Manuel Mata finished the season as the best goalscorer in the ninth position despite his club relegated.

On October 10, Mata play when Spain against Armenia and replace Torres at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in the group stage when against Honduras.
