Karim Benzema is French footballer Algerian descent. He is nine brothers and his father worked in the District Hafid Bron. His grandfather used to live in the city of Beni Djellil in Algeria before finally moving to Lyon in the 1950s.
Benzema started his career with the French national team for the under-16 level and he scored one goal.
In 2004, Benzema is the French national team squad under-17 and then won the 2004 UEFA European Under-17 Football Championship is the first for France.
Benzema was also named in the under-18 squad in the 2005 edition of the UEFA-CAF Meridian Cup.
In the 2005-2006 season, Benzema playing with the French national team under-19 and scored five goals in 10 appearances, before gaining a place in the under-21 squad for the 2007 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship.
Prior to represent France, Benzema eligible to play with national teams of Algeria and called for the squad Algérienne de Football Federation in December 2006 but he refused because he felt as the people of France while Algeria is derived from the father.
On March 28, 2007, when Benzema won his first match against Austria and scored two goals for France as against the Faroe Islands.
Benzema was chosen to represent France at Euro 2008 with a party early and score a draw against Romania and were defeated by the Dutch in the final game of the group but the French defeated the Netherlands.
On June 5, 2009, Benzema scored in friendly matches.
On May 11, 2010, the French manager Raymond Domenech announced that Benzema signed in the French national team squad at the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
