Branislav Ivanović is an international footballer who played in the position of right back and center back who was born on February 22, 1984 in Sremska Mitrovica, SFR Yugoslavia. Born from couples who have a background in sports. Ivanović played soccer in his hometown which is a club that preceded his father in a professional. Ivanović began his football career in his hometown with Srem before moving to OFK Belgrade in December 2003. After three years playing in the Superliga Serbia which is a first division football, Ivanović signed a contract with Lokomotiv Moscow in January 2006. Ivanović played in 28 games in the league and scored two goals. During with Lokomotiv Moscow, he just replaced it two times during his career but closed in the national team of Serbia. In the next season, Ivanović made appearances in the league 26 times and scored three touchdowns. Ivanović help Lokomotiv Moscow won the Russian Cup in 2007. On January 15, 2008, Chelsea has signed a contract for three years for Ivanović from Lokomotiv club after getting competition from Milan, Inter, Ajax and Juventus. Ivanović transfer fee to Chelsea estimated at £ 9,000,000. After over eight months at Chelsea finally Ivanović began playing time against Portsmouth in the Carling Cup on September 24, 2008. And continued in the Premier League against Aston Villa on October 5. Ivanović scored his first goal in the Champions League quarter-final against Liverpool.
In the 2009-2010 season, Ivanović performed with Chelsea in the Community Shield against Manchester United in August 2009 and appeared in the Champions League against Sunderland. Then on October 31, 2009, Ivanović scored his first goal in the Premier League season against Bolton.
