Gavin Peter McCann is an English footballer who played in the midfielder position and was born in Blackpool, England on January 10, 1978. McCann started his career in his youth while playing in the Lytham St Annes YMCA junior. McCann joined professionally at Everton because he comes from the Everton academy. In 1998, he moved to Sunderland and he became part of the team that brought Sunderlan to the First Division for the year 1999. McCann signed a contract with Aston Villa in 2003, but due to injuries he suffered many setbacks, so he was not selected as core players at Aston Villa. McCann then decided to move to Bolton Wanderers in June 2007 and agreed during the fifth season, joining Bolton. McCann career with the English national team in 2001 during a match against Spain at Villa Park.
