David Lee Bowyer is a British professional footballer who was born on January 3, 1977 in Canning Town, London, England. Bowyer started his career when he joined Charlton Athetic and continue his professional career with the same club in April 1994. In 1996, Bowyer signed a contract with Leeds United for £ 2.8 million. Bowyer strengthen his team in the Champions League in 1999-2000, the semi-final UEFA Champions League 1999-2000 and 2000-2001. Bowyer signed for West Ham United during the first six months and at the end of the season without being burdened by the cost. After West Ham are relegated at the end of the 2002-03 season, Bowyer joined Newcastle United with a fee free transfer in July 2003. In June 2006, Bowyer joined West Ham United. In January 2009, Bowyer played at Birmingham City as a loan player until the end of 2009. Bowyer played for England U21 in the years 1996 to 1998 and a professional career in the English national team in 2002.
