Robin van Persie is a Dutch footballer who played in the position of striker who was born in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, on August 6, 1983.
Currently, van Persie playing for Arsenal and the Dutch national team. Van Persie are encouraged to follow their parents to be an artist but he chose to be a footballer and join the junior squad SBV Excelsior.
Furthermore, van Persie made a breakthrough in his hometown club of Feyenoord, where he played for 3 seasons and won the UEFA Cup Euro 2002.
Van Persie decided to join one of the Premier League clubs with Arsenal because of differences with coach van Marwijk. Van Persie moved to Arsenal in 2004 with a transfer value of £ 2,750,000.
He won the FA Community Shield and FA Cup in his first season with Arsenal and van Persie then won the 'Rotterdam Sportsman of the Year'.
Van Persie make 51 caps and scored 19 goals with the Dutch national team and senior international debut in 2005. He also participated in the 2006 FIFA World Cup, UEFA Euro 2008 and FIFA World Cup 2010.
