Ivan Gennaro 'Rino' Gatuso is Italian footballer who was born on January 9, 1978 in Corigliano Calabro, Itallia. He played for Italian club AC Milan's big and he plays in the midfielder position. Gennaro is one of the world's best midfielders.
During the defense of Milan, he has won the Champions League in 2002-2003, 2006-2007 and in the Italian League Serie A in 2003-2004.
Gattuso started his career with the club Perugia in July 1997 and transferred to Rangers from the Scottish team at age 19 years. In October 1998 he sold to Serie A and was promoted to a club Salernitana with a value of £ 4 million.
Gattuso then signed by the club Milan in 1999 with a value of £ 8 million. Together with Milan, he played in central midfield but Gattuso is often helpful because it is striker nicknamed 'Ringhio' (Growl). Gattuso signed a contract extension with Milan in June 2003 and October 2004. Gattuso played 300 games for the club and play in the Champions League draw against Lille when Milan on September 26, 2006. Currently Gattuso extend the contract with Milan until 2011 since February 1, 2007. Then, on May 23, 2007, Gattuso helped Milan win the Champions League for the second time when Milan defeated Liverpool in the final.
On December 27, 2007, Gattuso trained with former club Rangers to get back to fitness during the winter in Serie A. He had a torn ligament injury when against Catania, he underwent surgery to repair the damage on December 19, 2008 in Antwerp and back to playing with Milan on May 10 against Juventus. Milan confirmed on December 14, 2009 that Gattuso would be a Milan player until June 30, 2012.
He has played 73 times for the Italian national team of them at the 2000 Olympics, 2002 FIFA World Cup, UEFA EURO 2004, FIFA World Cup 2006, UEFA Euro 2008, Confederations Cup 2009 and the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Gattuso become one of the core players and current Italian national team won the 2006 FIFA World Cup and he won the Man of the Match, 2006.
As UEFA EURO 2008, Gattuso should spend time quarter-final round of Italy against Spain due to accumulated yellow cards to the coach of Italy must find a replacement. Gattuso decides to retire from international football after the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
