Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro, or known by the name of Portugal's Christiano Ronaldo is a footballer who was born on February 5, 1985 in Funchal, Madeira, Portugal winger who played in the position or forward for the club Real Madrid and he is the captain of the Portugal national team.
Ronaldo began his football career at amateur club Andorinha at the age of 8 years. In 1995, Ronaldo signed with local club Nacional later he joined Sporting CP.
Ronaldo joined Sporting CP with other young players and trained at the Academia Sporting in Alchochete. Ronaldo was the only player ever to play for Sporting U-16, U-17, U-18 in a season. Ronaldo scored two goals against Sporting Moreirense and Portugal national team at U-17 European Championship in 2002. Ronaldo scored a hat-trick when his first win against Newcastle on January 12, 2008 and took the first position of Manchester in the Premier League. Winger Ronaldo is the first to receive the European Golden Boot in the 2007-08 season. Ronaldo scored the opener in the Champions League final on May 21 as against Chelsea and Ronaldo Fans elected as UEFA Man of the match.
In the 2008-2009 season, Ronaldo has ankle surgery at the University Medical Centre in Amsterdam on May 7 and on September 17, he was as a substitute and scored a goal in the Champions League. On December 2, Ronaldo receive the Ballon d'or. Ronaldo injured because of a single accident in the tunnel near the Manchester airport on January 8, 2009. But he soon recovered and in that season he was voted FIFA Player Of the Year. On June 11, Manchester United accepted an unconditional offer from Real Madrid for 80 million pounds for Ronaldo.
On June 26, 2009, Madrid confirmed that Ronaldo joined the club on July 1, 2009 and approved the agreement during the six-year contract with a transfer value of € 11,000,000 per year and he got the number 9 in Madrid. Ronaldo's first debut in Madrid on July 21 when the win against Shamrock Rovers and scored the first goal at the Champions League game against Zurich in September 15.
