Owen Hargreaves, the midfielder football of England
Owen Lee Hargreaver is a British footballer who was born on January 20, 1981 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and he played as a midfielder for the England national team and club Manchester City.
Hargreaves moved from Calgary Foothills to Bayern Munic on July 1, 1997 and he played for the U-19 team for two and a half years before spending his time for six months with an amateur team. At the time of play for U-19 team to reach the final of the German championship in 1998 but was defeated Borussia Dortmund in the final through penalty shoot-out at the Rote Erde Dortmund stadium.
On August 12, 2000, Hargreaves played for the first time in the Bundesliga as a substitute on 93 minutes. Hargreaves is one England player who co-won the Champions League with Munich.
In the 2001-2001 season, Hargreaves established himself by playing in 46 appearances and helped Munich came third in the Bundesliga. Overall, he made 25 appearances in the Bundesliga, four in the Cup games and three in the Champions League.
In the 2002-2003 season, Hargreaves suffered an injury and he missed three weeks of absence.
In the 2003-2004 season, Hargreaves took Munich finished runners-up in the Bundesliga and the Champions League by Real Madrid eliminated. He made a total of 38 appearances for the club.
2004-2005 season, Hargreaves playing again in another German championship and DFB Cup.
For the 2005-2006 season, Hargreaves scored his first goal in the Allianz Arena in a competitive match on August 5, 2005 against Borussia Dortmund, next to the month of October 2005 he extended his contract with Munich for four years.
In the 2006-2007 season, Hargreaves suffered a broken leg and kept him out of the partially league with Bayern Munich. He recovered from his injuries at Munich against Real Madrid in the Champions League and officially merged on July 1, 2007 after signing a contract for 4 years. Hargreaves made his debut for the first time with Manchester United in a friendly against Peterborough United on August 4, 2007. His first appearance in the Premier League at the derby against Manchester City and scored the first goal against Fulham. At the beginning of the second season Hargreaves suffered severe injuries that make it back and forth London-Sweden. But since he's finally paid off to Colorado United States to visit a surgeon there. He underwent surgery on his right knee on November 10, 2008 and subsequently in his left knee in January 2009. Hargreaves lost a lot of time with Manchester United during the 2008-2009 season. He had just returned to Manchester United on September 23, 2009.
In the 2010 season, Hargreaves returned to play for Manchester United in the 93rd minute on May 2, 2010 against Sunderland.
He was injured again in the 2010-2011 season, but he returned to play against Wolverhampton. On May 22, 2011, Manchester is offering a new deal for Hargreaves and his status out of Manchester United is a free transfer.
On August 31, 2011, Manchester City confirmed that Hargreaves has contracted for a year. He played in the Premier League against Birmingham in the League Cup.
Born in Canada of the mother and father from Wales, Hargreaves eligible to play football with England, Wales and Canada. He first played for Wales national team U-21 against Belarus in September 2000 and subsequently in a friendly against Spain and Italy.
Hargreaves played a full-time international match on August 15, 2001 against Holland at White Hart Lane. He is one of the England players who do not live in the UK.
