Joleon Lescott professional football player
Joleon Lescott Patrick is an English footballer who was born on August 16, 1982 in Birmingham, England, and he is known to play in central defense for Manchester City.
Lescott was first made his debut when he was 17 years old in the 2000-2001 season against Sheffield Wednesday at Molineux on August 13, 2000. And in his first season Lescott given the name 'Young Player of the Year by the Wolves' fans by a supporter. He also became one of the players who won promotion to the FA Premier League for the 2003-2004 season. Although the club entered the FA Premier League campaign, but Lescott did not come into play because of knee surgery.
Subsequently in 2005, Lescott agreed a contract extension for two and a half years and in 2005-2006 he won the Wolves' Player of the Year award.
In the 2006-2007 season, Lescott was sold to Everton with a value of £ 2 million paid in installments and for £ 1 million depending on appearances for the club. Lescott was first to debut in August 2006 when the win over Watford to become the first victory for him. Lescott's first goal against Aston Villa on April 2, 2007 and he was elected to the Players' Player of the Season 2006-07 by his fellow team.
In the 2007-2008 season, he finished the season with three goals in the first eight games and a total of 10 goals in all competitions. On May 8, 2008, Lescott was elected as Everton's Player of the Year and Players Player of the Year and the date of May 11, 2008, Lescott also awarded the Player of the Year award by the Everton Disabled Supporters Association and became the second player award twice in one season. At the end of the 2008-2009 season, Manchester City tried to sign Lescott but Everton refused and eventually the public on August 11, 2009 Lescott who filed a formal written transfer request, but rejected by Everton.
Lescott finally managed to move to Manchester City on August 25, 2009 at a cost of £ 22 million over five years. On December 28, 2010, Lescott scored the first header to win over Manchester City at Aston Villa at the Stadium Itihad.
At the time of the transfer window opens in January 2011, there was speculation that Lescott would return to Wolverhampton on loan. He began playing full time this season against Manchester United on April 17, 2011 and the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley Stadium. On August 7, 2011, Lescott scored despite having lost to Manchester United. He also played in the Champions League against Bayern Munich Naples and in group A but can not qualify in that group. Lescott scored again in the League on January 22, 2012 win against Tottenham.
His career with the national team when Lescott represent England U-18, U-20, U21 and national team level B. He gets a call to the England squad at Euro 2008 qualifiers with Israel and Russia. Furthermore Lescott senior international debut on October 13, 2007 against Estonia. He appeared again for England's friendly against France dio on March 26, 2008.
