Giampaolo Pazzini is an Italian footballer who was born in Pescia, Italy on August 2, 1984 and is now playing in Italy's Serie A with Internazionale as a striker. Fans call him by name Il Pazzo (the Madman).
Pazzini began his career in Atlanta and made his professional debut in 2003 and spent two seasons with the club and scored 12 goals and played 51 games in the league. Pazzini was originally played at left back position and switched to striker.
Pazzini joined with Fiorentina a value of € 6.5 million in January 2005. During the first season with Fiorentina, he scored 3 goals against Juventus, including when he became the second striker. Arrival Gillardino and Mutu contracted Fiorentina, Pazzini making role to be reduced. Pazzini joined Internazionale on January 28, 2011. He scored two goals as against Palermo and Bari, but it also Pazzini scored the winning goal against Fiorentina on February 16, 2011 and on 30 April 2011 he scored two goals again as against Cesena.
Pazzini is a former Italian national team U-21, he scored the first hat-trick at Wembley Stadium.
He began his international career as a friendly match against Northern Ireland in Pisa on June 6, 2009. Pazzini receive incoming calls Italian senior national team squad for the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in South Africa as against Montenegro and four days later he got a place in strarting line-up against the Republic of Ireland.
