Antonio Di Natale is an Italian footballer who was born on October 13, 1977 in Naples and he plays as a striker for Serie A club Udinese from 2004.
Although he was born in Naples, but joined the junior club Empoli. When Empoli be relegated to division two, Di Natale decided to move to Udinese in the 2004-2005 season in Serie A. In that season, he helped the club until the rank-4 and qualify for the Champions League. Di Natale is completing his debut season with a record 33 matches and scored seven goals.
In season 2007-2008, Di Natale scored 17 goals and most importantly on Matchday 4 when Udinese against Reggina. In 2007, Di Natale was appointed captain of the club and his contract was extended until June 30, 2012. On May 15, 2010 is the best end of the season by scoring 29 goals and contributed 54% to Udinese. On May 9, 2010, Di Natale scored beyond 100 on the Serie A and was chosen as the Italian footballer of the Year for being the top scorer in Serie A and also received the Fair Play award. Di Natale scored a hat-trick on 14 November 2010 against Lecce and subsequently on 28 November 2010 game against Napoli.
Di Natale can play in any position, either as a lone striker and widened again as the striker out-and-outs. He has the ability to do drible ball and scored.
He began his career playing football when joining the club Empoli in 1996-2004, with a total of 159 appearances and scored 48 goals. But some of his time spent as a player at Empoli such loan with the club Iperzola in 1997-1998 and scored 6 goals in 33 appearances. In mid-season loan, Di Natale loaned to the club Varese in 1998 and only appeared 4 times without a goal. In 1998-1999, he was loaned to the club continues Viareggio and scored 12 goals in 25 appearances.
Di Natale became a regular after joining Udinese in 2004 until now.
Together with the Italian national team, he debuted in late November 2002 when Italy against Turkey.
He was also elected strengthening the Italian national team at the 2006 FIFA World Cup and UEFA EURO 2008 qualifying. After scoring in the qualifiers against Ukraine, Di Natale was called to strengthen the Italian national team for the UEFA EURO 2008.
He suffered a knee injury against Montenegro on March 28, 2009 and became captain of the team in November of trying to get the call for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Di Natale scored for the first time on June 24, 2010 in the 2010 FIFA World Cup tournament when they lost to Slovakia and make Italy a caretaker in a group F.
