Yuri Zhirkov Valentinovich is a Russian footballer who played in the position of left winger and left back and was born on August 20, 1983 in Tambov, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union. Yuri was born of a father who worked as a factory worker and his mother who worked as a postwoman. Yuri is the second child and came from poor families. In 1994, Yuri enrolled in school sports 'Revtrud' and in the same year Yuri be part of the tournament ball 'the best halfback of the tournament' in Kamyshin. Yuri started his career at FC Spartak Tambov and winger playing in the position before moving to CSKA Moscow.
